Pigeon is a village in Huron County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,208 at the 2010 census. The village has a total area of 0.86 square miles (2.23 km²), all land. A number of wind farms have been built in and around Pigeon in 2007 and 2008. The Grand Trunk and Ohio Railroad Depot is a state historical site and displayed artifacts and memorabilia. The town is located in Winsor Township, which is part of the Huron-Chesapeake region of the state. It is located on the Michigan Turnpike, which runs through the town of Chesapeake and into the state of Ohio. The turnpike was built in the 18th century and is now the state's second-busiest road. It was built by the Ohio and Michigan State Railroad Company in the early 19th century. The train depot is located near the town's downtown area and is displayed as a state historic site. It also has a museum, which displays artifacts and local memorabilia from the 1800s and early 1900s. The city's name is derived from the word "pigeon" which means "hill" or "village" and means "place" in French. The word "cheese" is also used to refer to a local delicacy. The name of the town is "cheeseburg" which is a French word for "chicken" and is used as a derogatory name for the town.

The first European settlement in the area was in 1806, and it is now the location of the town's post office, which was established in 1808.
