Belgrade is a city in Gallatin County, Montana, United States. The population was 10,460 at the 2020 census. It is the largest city in Montana that is not a county seat. The 59714 ZIP Code that includes the city and surrounding commercial and residential developments had an estimated population of 22,560 as of 2020. Belgrade is located at 45°47N 111°11W (45.7785, -111.1790). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.99 square miles (10.33 km²), all land. The post office was established in 1887 with Thomas B. Quaw as postmaster. The city was incorporated in 1906. Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is located adjacent to the city boundaries. It was named Belgrade after the capital of Yugoslavia, today Serbia, as an expression of appreciation to the Serbian investors who helped finance a portion of the Northern Pacific Railroad. The town plat was filed in the Gallatin county Clerk and Recorder's Office by Thomas Quaw, a businessman from the midwest, in July 1891, and was named after the Serbian capital of Belgrade. It has a population of 7,389, with 2,965 households, and 1,877 families living in the city. The racial makup of the city was 94.2% White, 0.4% African American, 1.0% Native American, 0.,5% Asian, 0,1% Pacific Islander, 1,2% from other races, and 2.5% from two or more races.

Geography

Belgrade is located at 45°47N 111°11W (45.7785, -111.1790).According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.99 square miles (10.33 km²), all land. The city is located on the Danube River, a tributary of the Adriatic Sea. Belgrade has a population of 1,856,000, according to the 2010 Census. It is the second largest city in Serbia, after Belgrade, after the city of Novi Pazar, which has 1,744,000 people. The population of Belgrade was 1,907,000 in the 2010 census. It was the second-largest city in Montenegro, after Novosibirsk, and the third-largest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has a GDP of $1.2 billion, up from $0.7 billion in the 1990s, and is home to the Serbian Football Association (SFA) and the Serbian Olympic Committee (SNC) Belgrade is one of the most populous cities in the country, with more than 1,500,000 residents. The SNC has the largest population of any city in the region, followed by Novi pazar, with about 1,100,000 inhabitants. It also has the third largest population in the state of Montenegro (after Novi and Novibarra). The city's population has declined since the 1980s, when it was about 2,000.

Belgrade is governed via the mayor council system. The city council consists of six members who are elected from one of three wards. Each ward elects two members. The mayor is elected in a citywide vote. It is one of the most populous cities in the world. It has a population of more than one million people, making it the third most populous city in Europe after London and Paris. It also has the highest per-capita income in the European Union, at more than $1.2 billion. The average household income is over $100,000. It's the second most popular city in the EU, after London, with an average annual income of over $9.5 million. It was the first city to become a member of the European Economic Community in 2004. It became the first country to join the EU in 2005. The country's population has grown to more than 1.2 million people. Education

Belgrade School District educates students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Belgrade High School's team name is the Panthers. The district has a public library, the Belgrade Community Library. The school district also has a private school, Belgrade Preparatory School, and a private high school,  Belgrade Preparation School. The high school has a football team, the Panthers, who play in the state playoffs. The public high school is Belgrade Academy, which plays in the district's football stadium. The elementary school is called Belgrade Elementary, and the high school  is called Bel grade. The community also has its own library,  the Bel grade Community Library, which is open to the public. The town has a number of parks, including a skate park, a playground, a basketball court and a baseball field. It is located in the town of Belgrade, which has a population of about 2,000. It has a school district that educates children from kindergarten to 12thgrade. It also has an elementary school and a high school that teaches students in the middle and high school. The city has a community center, the Bel Grade School, which serves as a hub for community activities. The Belgrade Community Library has a collection of books for children and adults. Arts and culture

The Belgrade Special Events Center is a 4,800-seat indoor facility constructed by the Belgrade School District in 1996. Gallatin Speedway is located on the outskirts of Belgrade northeast of Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport on Tubb Road. The 38-mile (600 m) dirt oval hosts stock car racing events from May to September. Belgrade Fall Festival is an annual tradition (54 years) that takes place on Homecoming Weekend, typically the third weekend in September. The day's activities include a parade, community open-pit beef barbecue, car show, arts and crafts fair at Lewis and Clark Park. The Belgrade High School Panthers varsity football game is held on the last weekend of September. It is one of the largest high school athletic facilities in the state. In March 2010 the facility hosted the State B Girls Basketball Tournament. It also hosts numerous district, divisional, and state athletic events. It was built in 1996 and has a capacity of more than 4,000 people. The building is home to the Bel grade High School Panther basketball, volleyball, and wrestling teams as well as numerous other school and community events. The Fall Festival has been going on for 54 years and is held the last three weekends of September in Belgrade. The event is a celebration of the high school's Homecoming weekend. It's also a fundraiser for the school and the community. It has been held every year for the last seven years. The facility is located near the Gallatin Motor Speedway.
