It is part of the North Penn Valley region that is centered on the borough of Lansdale. Five Points is an intersection located at 40° 14 50.67 N and 75° 14 39.37 W, in Montgomeryville. The CDP has a total area of 4.8 square miles (12 km²), all of which is land. The median income for a household in the CDP was $80,097, and the median family income was $90,391. The town is served by bus routes 94, 96, and 132, which connect it with the Lansdale and Norristown neighborhoods of Philadelphia, as well as the SEPTA Regional Rail Line. It also has a shopping center, Water Tower Square, which includes a Planet Fitness, Buy Buy Baby, World Market, and a United Home Cinema (formerly Frank Water Tower Cinema) The town has a population of 12,000 (as of the census of 2000), with 4,158 housing units at an average density of 871.5/sq mi (336.6/km²). It is located 29 miles (47 km) southeast of Allentown and 21 miles (34 km) north of Philadelphia.

For every 100 females,there were 97.1 males. For each 100 females age 18 and over there were 93.1 Males. The per capita income for the CPD was $28,967. The town is served by SEPTA Suburban Division bus routes 94, 96, and 132, all of which stop at the Montgomery Mall. The bus routes provide connections to the Lansdale/Doylestown Line in nearby Lansdale and North Wales. The US 202 Parkway runs through the southern portions of Montgomeryville from southwest-northeast to southwest-southwest. The Water Tower Square shopping center is at Five Points. This shopping center includes a Planet Fitness, Buy Buy Baby, World Market, OfficeMax, Water Tower Cinema (formerly Frank Theaters and United Artists), and a Home Depot. The mall is located on the south side of the intersection of the PA 309/PA 463/US 202 Business intersection. The shopping center was built in the early 1990s and is located in the center of the Montgomeryville section of Philadelphia. It was originally built as part of a larger shopping center called the Water Tower Mall, which opened in the mid-1990s. It has since been expanded to include a number of other stores and restaurants, as well as a movie theater, a bowling alley, and a fitness center. The center is located near the Pennsylvania Turnpike, which runs north-south through Montgomeryville. The turnpike runs from Philadelphia to Delaware.
