Orwigsburg is a borough in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. The borough was named for its founder, Peter Orwig, and created from West Brunswick Township in 1823. It has a hot-summer humid continental climate (Dfa) and average monthly temperatures range from 27.4°F in January to 72.3° F in July. The population was 2,995 at the 2020 census, and is expected to rise to 2,000 by the end of the decade. It is located in the borough of Orwigsberg, which is in the state of Northumberland, on the island of New Jersey, and on the coast of New York state. It has an average monthly temperature of 27.2°F (8.7°C) and an average annual temperature of 72.5° F (9.3 °C) It is the only borough in New England to have a city of this size and population of more than 1,000. It also has a population of about 2,000, the majority of whom live in or near the borough. The town's population is about 1,500. It was founded in 1805. It became a borough in 1808. It had a town hall in 1809. It's located on a former railway line, which was built in the 19th century. The current town hall was established in 1810.
