Lanham is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Prince George's County, Maryland. As of the 2020 United States Census it had a population of 11,282. The Thomas J. Calloway House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. The New Carrollton station (the terminus of the Washington Metro's Orange Line) as well as an Amtrak station are across the Capital Beltway. Doctors Community Hospital is located in Lanham. Residents of Lanham CDP are divided between James McHenry Elementary School and Seabrook Elementary School. All residents are zoned to Thomas Johnson Middle School and DuVal High School. There is a private Catholic school, Academy of Saint Matthias the Apostle. The U.S. Postal Service operates the Lanham Seab rook Post Office in Lan Ham CDP. History

It also has a baseball diamonds, which were built in the late 19th and early 20th century. It has a post office, which closed in the early 1980s. It was re-opened in the mid-1990s and is now a part of the town of Lanham, Ohio, with a population of about 1,200. The CDP is home to the National Park Service's Lanham Park, which is located in the north of the town. It is the site of the Lanham Airport, which was built in the early 1900s. The Lanham River runs through the center of the city, and runs into the Potomac River in the south. It was once the source of the Rappahannock River, which flows through the town of Lanham and into the Maryland River. The Linn River, a tributary of the Littleton River, runs through Lanham, and was once a source of water for the Linn Creek area. It has been converted into a park in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and is now home to a park that is part of the Washington Metropolitan Area.
